It’s safe to say the window between Christmas and New Year’s eve is spent returning gifts, recovering from all indulgent food and drink consumption (perhaps by squeezing in more workouts than you have all year), and figuring out New Year’s Eve plans, both in a literal and sartorial sense.
Because we think of a New Year as turning the page into a new chapter, we think your look should reflect not only your unique individual style but also, perhaps what you want the following year to look like. It’s a touch superstitious but mostly based in fun and some small mental contribution toward your resolutions and intentions for the coming year. Want to feel more mature? Maybe go for a chic tuxedo and slicked back bun. Want to feel more adventurous? Try a statement piece you’d never normally wear. Want to have a little more fun? Go against the black and silver grain and wear colors that pop.
In any case, remember that although your fashion choices are the most forward facing form of self expression and can certainly reflect what’s important to you, the most important is that you’re having an incredible, intentional start and have positive, exciting new hopes for a new year. And if you need a little inspiration, we’ve got you covered below.
Happiest New Year! Thank you for following our work and going on this creative journey with us!
