The influence of British fashion couldn’t have been more apparent at Gucci’s ’17 Resort Collection, showing 94 looks at one of London’s most sacred landmarks: the Westminster Abbey.
Grandmother florals, punk rock plaids and studs, British navy coats, oversized furs you might’ve seen bustling around Carnaby in the 70s, Victorian lace and flowing gowns, even some 80s acid washed jeans for good measure, all christened with a signature Gucci stripe or logo just as a reminder that though we are near the Houses of Parliament, this was the house of Gucci. It was like getting an Italian translation of London’s fashion history.
Our favorite details? The oversized double glasses, tube socks and snake appliquéd fur coat. AMAZING.
